"Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it"
Luke 17:33
Today I stopped to smell the flowers.
I was identified as a fellow Volunteer among many, as I photographed the MS Walk, for a cure this morning.
What a cause! And what a joy it was to be a part of it!
After wards, I walked over to 3B's where I contemplated calling a friend for lunch; discovered I didn't have that friend's number on me and wound up eating alone.
As I found myself eating alone, savoring every bite of my vegetarian smothered burrito wrap, I looked up to the wall, began reading "The legend of 3B's" and now, I am thoroughly convinced, after having a week worth's of introspection, that service is the way to go..
as I finished reading, the story ended with...
"To survive, Maybe we must all work together."
What does it take to rise to the top with another? And what will we sacrifice to do so?
This past week I was on a 5 day camping trip ( post soon to come ) where the theme was "Elevation". And we were asked.. what does Elevation mean to us?¿
I won't give away the "fruits" of my next post.. but I found one aspect of this last week very fitting for this particular post, and as I made friends this morning and saw the faces of those friends, unified in one beautiful cause, in one commonality;
I began to understand more fully... Elevation.. or.. Life- is about caring enough to lift another.
It's the " Act" of courage; in bringing another along for the joyous ride.
It's the love of another... and it's the love given to another.
It's about laughter and friendship. It's about the sunset after the climb.
