Love...that silly thing.

I have a lovely Aunt Julie who is willing to lend me her talents within Business Consultation.
Here she is. Isn't she cute! She's a traveler, like me. :)
(picture thieved from her facebook profile. ;p )
So this week, as well as the last two days, has been one headache after another as I sit from early morning to late evening in front of a computer screen... taking showers in the late afternoons and midnight snacks as I re-edit, redesign, collect and combine my Photography photos for an online and hard copy Portfolio.
I also have been researching all sorts of Marketing, Advertising, blah blah.. ideas that I can approach my Aunt with.
Really, I just want to be prepared for the best thing I've done for myself in a long time. That is- diving into a creative profession that I'm passionate about with every bit of myself, down to my left little pinky toe, and taking all that past fear of "i'm not good enough" "they'll never pay that much" "It's not a talent." and "There's always going to be someone better." and stuffing it where fear is not aloud to be looked upon anylonger- in this case, under the couch of my Mothers living room where I've been living the past two weeks.  :p

In any case.. what this blog post was "supposed" to go... In my editing of past pictures, I came across my very first Photography shoot and it made me smile from all the Nostalgia.

Brandon and Kamie had such a whirlwind dating scene, but in the end it all worked out beautifully for them and I remember when they asked me to take their Engagement Photo's ( i may have begged.. can't remember lol ) I only had a small Sanyo Point and shoot camera.

The snow fell down in heeps that afternoon; the air so cold causing my Camera lens to freeze up several times, pausing the shoot as I warmed it in my jacket to 'defrost'.
You can see the "frozen" spots on the corners, or sometimes even the center of these pictures.

I've always Loved Love. But I remember on this very first Photo Shoot, I began falling in love with the way other people love.I fell head over heels with how enchanting love is, despite the woes of our human hearts.

I guess in a big way, Brandon and Kamie started my desire to be a part of freezing love, in frames of folly flirtation, teddy bear hugs, kisses, piggy back rides and fights in the snow.
I'm grateful for that.

Love. That silly thing. It's trips me every time. :)

I think I always loved your photos and I always knew you had talent, but when I first say these....I KNEW you were destined to be GREAT...this really is a a God Given talent Shaina. No need to worry how much training you have had or haven't had...You my dear are a natural. You are able to some how capture the essence of the human spirit in all it's many dimensions...and all your shoots seem to speak to my heart in some way. I am going to be so excited for you when you give yourself permission to "charge" for your "time" ...because YOU are definitely worth it!!! YOU GO GIRL...GO AND MAKE YOUR PASSION AND YOUR DREAMS come true!!!
