Photographer stalking

In an attempt to write a blog and hope *fingers crossed* that posting this won't dissuade my valued fans from hiring me as their beloved photographer one day- :p

I'd like to single out three individual Photographers who have enlightened my every day with their beautiful photographs, words of wisdom, rantings, teachings, and insight within their daily blogs posts.

I'll be honest- I look at them, read their words, see their work, and I almost always want to be everything they are and everything I am not. 

Seriously. I love everything these women are. Not to sound creepy. They are ingenious at what they have chosen to do with their lives, and who they have chosen to be.

 

I LOVE these ladies with all my ♥heart. And I'm pretty positive not a one of them know's this. 

As really... I don't even know them. :p I just stalk their blogs/websites and fawn over the idea of one day meeting them and gleaning from their wealth of photography knowledge and talents.

You all are Amazing!

You teach me about Art, love, business, family, self respect, courage, faith, along with a million trillion other things.. every time I look at your photography blogs.

Your work and words kick me in the butt and say "Do something that scares you, because you love it."

Before I tell you who they are.. this is not to say their are not a thousand others whom I also stalk.. haha.. and whom have outstanding talent.. such as Jasmine Star, Ryan Romieke, Promise Tangeman, etc etc.

Basically I'm in Love with the entirety of the world of photographers and photography.

Happy Tuesday!

I'm not sure why- but I love Tuesdays. 

And today was a great Tuesday. 

 

Jamon and I explored our backyard today - for me, being the first time.

I know what you must be thinking, but in my own defense, we had a goose that we only just barely got rid of, who claimed the backyard as it's stomping grounds and *ahem* it's personal latrine.  

So exploring, let alone walking out the back door, was virtually impossible, not to mention hazardous.

Back to my short Tuesday story. 

We found an old rickety ladder against the back gate, layered in Cocoons and spider egg sacks. 

And what did we decide to do with the Ladder?

Climb it of course! 

And get on top of the garage to see all.. or rather, a few blocks, of Enoch. Haha. 

But don't tell my Pa, because he thinks us responsible adults who would be wise enough to know that climbing to the top of the crunchy shingled garage roof, on a ladder that could be who knows how old, or who knows how sturdy, would be dangerous and 'unwise'. 

 

Why we thought we were so cool? Don't ask me. It was no feat indeed. 

But maybe, digging out thistle weeds with sticks, riding scooters in the driveway, and hackysack in the back- brought on a Tuesday inner child we couldn't resist.

Happy Tuesday Friends. ♥

A quick message of thought for today. 

Sometimes throwing myself into this world of Photographers is a frightening ordeal. 

"I'm not good enough." "She's Better." "He's Better." "I'll never be like her." "I'll never get that far."

It's a pile of never's, can't do's and not good enoughs. 

But other days, like today, I know my wings are just as lovely as the next guys, I just haven't quite learned how to flap them as hard yet in order to get higher into that majestic sky. It's a world of practice practice practice. 

But we can. 

And we will.

For really, we already are.

So today, say to your nay sayers - I will. 

Trust and believe in yourselves.

and keep this beautiful little reminder in your thoughts;

" Why is it that we yearn to be more or other than we are? It so rarely occurs to us that what we are looking for may be- indeed, always is- already within us, simply undiscovered. "

Nivek has been my Niece for 9 years so far.

I was fourteen when she was born to my 18 year old sister & her new husband; changing the lives of our entire family. And when I say that; it is not intended in a coy manner. Nivek CHANGED us all.

I watched her grow with every baby step; tantrum teething; terrible two's; and childhood imagination. 

I loved and continue to love every breathing moment of this adorable girl. 

Nivek Lynn Bork- You are radiant. You are beautiful. You are my little Juju bean and I love you most. :)

Remember that. Always.

P.s. I broke my favorite.. and only good lens today. Dropped it right outta my hands. Dread. Filled with Dread.

Megan Baker ♥ V-Day Shoot

 "She had a smile that could light up the room

and if she moved it'd be moving in you

But she wasn't like a magazine,

 Megan, and my sister Meagan are probably two of the MOST photographed people on this Blog. 

Their good enough to be my experimental models, or pose for just a "I'm bored- let's take pictures" shoot.

This Megan is one of my Best Friends. Basically a Sister as well. 

We went out a couple weeks ago for lunch and a movie and had such a blast!!

We made a ruckus in the Theater- watching Green Hornet which by the way is an AWESOME movie.

In our little town, the doors are behind the seats. So we entered, sat down, and only saw two people walk in before it started. We laughed loud; I mean LOUD. Giggled, talked, laughed, Text'd ( I know I know- but we thought we were alone! ) And when the movie was over and we turned around... the entire theater was filled!!!! How embarrassing! I'm surprised no one threw whoppers at our heads. 

Anyways, Your the bomb Meg. :)

Love Day with Danie'lle ♥ Jonathan

Danie'lle and Jonathan will celebrate their 9 year Anniversary on the 23rd of this month.

This shoot was meant for Valentines day, not an Anniversary- but I think it's sufficient to say that it was a shoot of her, and him- in love.. for the 9th year. 

I'll let them tell their story from their own words.

 "Jonathan was attending school at Bon Losee hair design, I also started school there.

We met one day while in the class room. after school while waiting for my dad to pick me up; he started
talking to me and asked if i would go on a date with him.

I said yes and we have been together ever since. " -Danie'lle

Of her man, Danie'lle says "He is the man i love and want to be with forever." 

I asked her to tell me what makes her love this dashing fella and among the many things she said- and there were many- my favorite was this...

 "I have a million reasons why I love him;... He is my soul mate, my other half. I love him because he makes me want to be better. I love him because he chose me.."

I decided to incorporate what they said about each other in the shoot, after what Jonathan wrote about comparing Danie'lle to an item "She's my downhill bike, easily, she is rugged, sleek looking, a blast to ride, and she handles every corner (situation) as if she was born to it.ohhh and I trust her every move. "

How could you not love that? lol

 

Jon and Danie'lle have a subtle kind of love.They are the kind of couple you look at and just guess their love is better than yours and you find yourself envying from the dark, far corner. 

 They share hobbies. They both agree they are soul mates. They are goofy and fun. 

I love them in love.

 Not to mention that Jonathan has the face of a Jcrew Model and Danie'lle's eyes are the envy of every girl. 

Thank you for being good sports and hanging out with me Saturday afternoon.

Meet Goose Myśliwiec

We got a stray pet goose last night. Brought over by a friend.

He/she is quite a sweetheart. Although- i still had to chase him/her around the backyard this morning trying to get just a few pictures. 

Welcome to the family big guy...... girl........ goose. :/
What will we do with this goose? I have no idea. But it's kind of fun.. in a random kind of way. :)
Now I just got to make sure Pa doesn't get hungry and eat it.

Hello! In with the New, Out with the Old, as they say. Eh?

2010 was an epic year for me. I learned so many wonderful lessons from those 'just as wonderful' people in my life; I came, i saw, i conquered. :p

I'd like to relive the year of 2010, in no particular order, through a nostalgic entry of pictures and short phrases. I won't miss you 2010. But I do love you. Thank you for being so good to me.. on an average day. ;)

1: My very First Concert. Camera Can't Lie, Runner Runner, & Secondhand Serenade.

 2: We built a lasting relationship.

3: I drove to SLC three times. Once to be a date at a ball. Once was a trip too devastating, and the third time; to watch my first love, marry his best friend. 

This was not my date. lol.

 4: My heart got Broken. & a name began to haunt me. 

5: I sold my beloved car "Gilapee" to my Ma.

 6: I moved to Michigan

   7: I moved to Hawai'i with my best friend & met my dearest friends. 

 8: I threw away a book for the first time, because it was entirely not worth reading. :o

9: I ran my very first 5K ( i'm not a runner- this was a grand feat! )

10: I met a new realm of family I didn't know I had. 

 11: I found my very first Southern Utah Scorpion & watched him battle a ginormous Beetle.

12: I was set up on 2 very awful dates. :p 

13: I did 30 Photo Shoots. I was in 4 of those Photo Shoots.

14: I changed my logo, my blog and my photography name, 3 times. 

15: I made it through 9 weeks of P90x. ( still going )

16: I Dyed my hair for the first time in 2 1/2 years. and Red, for the first time.  ( even though it didnt look red )

 17: I turned 23 Years Young. 

 18: I moved from my brothers, to Michigan, To Hawai'i, To uncles, to Cousin Dan's, To Uncles again, Couch Surfed 3 times, Moved to my Ma's, To my Brothers, To my Pa's. 

  19: This year I flew on 9 different planes, and spent 32 hours in airports, including one sleepless night in the Vegas airport. 

 20: I met a Blue man, who became my friend Patrick. :) ( note the stained blue eyelashes lol )

21: I spent an entire day in a banyan tree, we lovingly named "Banyan"

 22: I started writing a new book. "Here’s to the man who walked on the stage of my heart...…and kept on going"

I have much more to add... But I think i'll take a break and come back later. :)
Time to begin on my new "read 250 books in 2011" resolution. =)
